Recently (Nov 2025), I concluded a PhD in cotutelle at the Grupo Medios Porosos in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires and at the FAST Laboratory in the University of Paris-Saclay.
For more than six years, I researched flows through narrow channels of viscous fluids with solid particles suspended inside. Such fluids are called suspensions and can be found in a variety of industrial applications (transport though pipes, microfluidic devices) and also in nature (blood, contaminants in groundwater, landslides). At the lab, I performed experiments with a model system composed of plastic spheres and aqueous solutions; visualizing and tracking the particles using a software I have written using C and Python programming languages.
